Leading Local Philanthropy

The Carl M. Freeman Foundation provides grant funding through designated funds created to serve the relevant needs of the community. Our President & Chair, Trustees, Executive Director and all Carl M. Freeman Foundation staff participate in making philanthropic choices during the year. They can recommend contributions to the causes they are passionate about and to organizations that are serving the needs of the community. This is how we are leading table-top philanthropy, just like Mr. Freeman did with his family.

Employee Fund

$28,000 was given by employees in 2021 to organizations across Sussex County, DE and Montgomery County, MD. Each staff member can fund up to $2,000 to the charities of their choice as part of the Carl M. Freeman Foundation's commitment to its employees.
